I am a renter and bought a used refridgerator from a used appliance company. They completely damaged the floor when they delivered it. I took the business to small claims court and won the judgement because the owner did not show up in court. He is appealing the judgement because he claims that the landlord should have sued and my suit is not valid? Does he have legal grounds to win the appeal? If the owner, not the renter, must sue, can i sue if i am renting with an option to buy?
