What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois.
I was in a relationship recently, and my name, and her name is on the lease. I was working out of state, and she ended the relationship. I came back to discover that she took it upon herself to pack my stuff, and put it in the garage. I did not have a key to get in, so I went there the night I came home, I went to get my stuff, but she told local police that MY brand new TV, the oak stand, and the blue-ray surround system was a gift from me to her. It is a total lie. I was told that I could get arrested if I try to go back and take it. I have all the receipts, and warranties which I purchases...all with my name on them. How is that legal??? How do I get them back? She is a deadbeat with no job, I have paid all the rent, the electric, and gas, for a year...

You could go to small claims court. If you have al the receipts and everything, you would have a good chance of prevailing - unless you really did give them to her as a gift and there's evidence to support that claim.

Other than that, the cost of pursuing it is likely to be higher than the value of the items.
