What are the general laws regarding trees that have grown over property lines? Is the owner required to prune the grown over area? Is the neighbor allowed to cut the branches extending into his or her yard without the owners permission?

Property lines and trees

You can cut branches that are hanging into your property. You may, out of courtesy ask the home owner for permission or ask them to cut the over hanging branches. If they refuse, you have the right to cut only what is hang over onto your property.
