Me and my sister own rentel properties together. We agreed to dissolve our partnership and sell. I did all the work and got two of them up for sale. Then I received civil suit papers that she was suing me to sell! I was already doing that. Now its almost three years later. I've been doing all the work but she's making it impossible to sell! Now were close to losing them for sheriff sale for taxes. She's suing me to sell but she won't sell!

Why?

And what is the name of the state (or states) involved?

What is your purpose? You sound befuddled. Are you seeking advice or just letting off steam?

Anyway, if you want help first tell us the name of the state were the properties are located. Secondly describe your dilemma with some clarity and without the contradiction and absurdity of her suing you to sell, but won't sell. And telling us that sister has a lawsuit that has been languishing in the court system for three years!

Also this "partnership" you speak of, are you using that term in a general way as merely being joint (most likely inherited) owners or did you and your sister actually enter into a formal partnership agreement providing for the management of the properties?

In addition explain what became of the rents from the rental properties that are now "close" to being sold for delinquent taxes. Since you "did all the work" you ought to know what became of the money. Could that be one of the issues involved in the lawsuit?
