I am a disbled single mother. My family owns a few rental houses..only one that has a pool. There is a tenant there that has a lease until 2003. My health has deteriorated. I cannot go for any more health care because my husband left me for another woman and I have no insurance. The ONLY thing that helps me is to be in a pool. I REALLY need to move into this house but I dont know how to ask the tenant if she will leave!!! Is there any way at all to ask her to leave? I will be deeply grateful for any help in this matter...thanks so much! I am in Georgia.

Unfortunately Your health problems are of NO concern to the tenant. Someone gave her a 2 year lease, and both of you have to honor it.

It doesn't matter you are disabled, or your hubby left with another woman I dont care.

But what i would care about is HOW much MONEY you are going to pay me to move..

I have expenses too, you are asking me to uproot MY life for YOUR convienence, and I will NOT do it for FREE!

So with that said, figure moving expenses, a real moving company, and NOT U-HAUL, all deposits, connection charges for phone, cable, water etc, ALL of the security back, AT LEAST one or two months FREE rent..... would be a starting point to get the tenant to move.

OH and if they have kids ADD even more money, to move as long as they are in school, summertime would be better and cheaper.

If the tenant refuses, the only hope is they lose their job, cant pay the rent and THEN you can evict them in court.

OH there might be one other possible solution, if you dont need to move into the house and just want access to the pool, you could knock off $100 or $200 a month in rent...she might just go for that too.
