I live in new york state -senior citizen & on social security. I recently had a dispute with a repair man. He was successfull with filing a judgement against me. I'm not sure at the present time how I will handle this. In the meantime how can I protect my home, car,& personal property. I'm very concerned & would appreciate any advice..

My response:

It's a little too late now to be "very concerned", isn't it ? The time to be concerned was when you were being sued. And, if you owe a judgment that you can't pay, what makes you think you have enough money to pay an attorney to help you to protect your assets ?

It appears to me you are assuming quite a bit, with out knowing the entire story. I only asked for advice, which is what this site is for. How do you know what the balance of my account might be.Thank you for your time.
