I live in Washington State. I recently turned 21 and I want to know exactly what I could get in trouble for when it comes to drinking around those who aren't 21 yet. If for example I were drinking at a party and there were minors present that were drinking but I didn't purchase alcohol for them and I don't own the home we are drinking in, can I still get in trouble for simply being there? Keep in mind that I don't know them all personally so there is no reason I would know all of their ages. If I had my way I wouldn't drink around minors at all, but sometimes it's inevitable. Believe it or not some people that are 21 actually have friends that are younger than them (shocking, I know)! Could I get in trouble in the given scenario? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
