My husband and I reside in Massachusetts, and are increasing our life insurance because we are expecting twins. He has a child from a prior relationship, and pays child support. We were wondering how support obligation is determined in the event of death and how much of the insurance benefit to allot for his child. We would also like to ensure that this money is actually used to support the child, and not to buy her mother a new Porsche!

Any help or advice is deeply appreciated!
Kim

Please post this question also on the CHILD SUPPORT /CUSTODY
message board on this site, as it is more likely that an attorney experienced in these matters will find your question there and respond to it.
