How does someone else know that the public Facebook page is being read? Are the contents of the page being repeated elsewhere?

Unless there is a restraining order that prohibits the one restrained from being online or accessing Facebook (or a specific Facebook page), I can’t see how it would be stalking to just view a Facebook page.

I think there is probably far more to the story.

Even if there is a restraining order in place, simply reading someone's FB page, absent some other action, would not be stalking. It may be a violation of the RO, but that alone doesn't make it stalking.

Of course, if one does commit the offense of stalking against someone from whom s/he is restrained, it would raise the offense to a felony.

If someone is concerned about online stalking, they can set their social media pages to private - or stay off social media sites.

Is it true that, in the abstract world of all that is hypothetical, at least one person might consider the activity you described to fall within the label "stalking"? Sure. That's possible.

I was curious about the content to see if readers of the Facebook page were being encouraged to do something nefarious to someone, or what exactly the draw was to this particular Facebook page.

The more that one learns about a subject, the more that one knows about the subject.
