what's the law in Arizona regarding redistributing of Public records for Commercial or Non Commercial use ? such as website postings of public records which you can basically get access to from almost hundred's of websites now-a-days.

I believe I can do it, but just need some sort of confirmation that I can indeed do it. (dont live in arizona btw)

Thanks

And why do you think that various public records are not already being assembled an sold for AZ? There are many sites that either provide copies of specific record or compiled specific data lists, such as Mortgage Leads, or property tax default records. RODs records, non-family court records (such as judgements, criminal and civil legal actions) and public meetings records are readilly available online.

I could answer your question for you.... but it would be a disservice.

Clearly, you are asking for a legal opinion for the purpose of a commercial enterprise. As such, don't you think it would be worth it to spend a $100 or so contacting a knowledgeable attorney in Arizona for an opinion BEFORE you go forth??

I can see it now... you go forth and start this business and immediately face a lawsuit (lets say.... $10,000). In response to the suit, you say, "Your Honor, I was told on a free legal advice website that it was okay to sell that information!!". Court response: "And what is the persons name who gave you this advice?".
Your response: "Dandy Don" (or "garrula lingua", or any of the 100 other uneducated 'attorney wannabe's' on this forum).
I can almost hear the laughter already!!

LOL - you are correct. as much as I read online about different laws of state and such, I cannot pass for an attorney and have found at times the "free advice" here are what
I suspect to be the true answer for what Iam looking for, until I get an answer from someone who likes to be an ass LOL

I've been providing free notice of defaults from various Arizona Counties and
someone emailed me that's state law prohibites me from distributing those, which I found to be probably from a competition who was probably losing money from my free list or something. but YEs I will have to hire an attorney to verify this...:D

Thanks
John
