Have junior walk to the end of the road where the bus will be waiting for him/her.

my "juniors" are little girls, and it is 2.5 miles to the bus stop, dont think that is a good idea.

We had a similar situation when we moved to a rural part of Maryland. A study by the transportation administrator of the local school system indicated that the road was not wide enough to accommodate 2 buses passing eachother, so a school bus would not be permitted to come down the road. The neighborhood kids walked to the bus stop at the end of the road (about a mile). During cold/bad weather we took turns carpooling the kids to the stop. They all survived and we got to know our neighbors.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing, when I read this. My dad says the same thing, except he's from Alabama. I guess he was going to keep repeating it forever, until one of us questioned the amount of snow that AL gets in the winter!
