What is the name of your state? Virginia

 Are public schools required to provide transportation to and from school?,
and if you live on a state maintained road that a bus can't travel what can be done about transportation to and from school?

We had a similar situation when we moved to a rural part of Maryland. A study by the transportation administrator of the local school system indicated that the road was not wide enough to accommodate 2 buses passing eachother, so a school bus would not be permitted to come down the road. The neighborhood kids walked to the bus stop at the end of the road (about a mile). During cold/bad weather we took turns carpooling the kids to the stop. They all survived and we got to know our neighbors.

my "juniors" are little girls, and it is 2.5 miles to the bus stop, dont think that is a good idea.

Then, by the looks of you, you will be driving your little girls to school. Have a great day!

added: or carrying them on your back to the bus stop.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing, when I read this. My dad says the same thing, except he's from Alabama. I guess he was going to keep repeating it forever, until one of us questioned the amount of snow that AL gets in the winter!:D
