What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? GEORGIA. How do one collect on a punitive damages judgement that exceeds magistrate's court 15,000 limit?

I, personally, would consult an attorney. The cost would be well worth it.

Does the person own a house?

. Why are you considering this action if you already have a judgment. Either you utilize the methods provided by law to collect the money or you address the matter in the court that made the award.

What do you wish to know? That the judgment being excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court renders it unenforceable? Or are you asking for help in understanding the mechanics of enforcing it?

If it were me, I would let the judgment debtor worry about is propriety and proceed with the mechanics. The jurisdictional question could be entirely moot anyway.
