I was sued after I reported my defective slipcover to my credit card company. After a thorough investigation, my cc company credited my account. I must make it clear that I did send back the slipcover at my own expense. The company sued me in small claims. The judge said she would send us her decision in the mail. She did and I lost. Now, I have to pay $700 for the slipcover I DON'T have. Is that right? I also feel that she did a poor job with this hearing this case. Evidence I handed to her was not even reviewed at times. Am I entitled at least to my slipcover.

Appealing seems very risky to me with all the info on the internet. We all thought I had a strong case and were so surprised I lost. Not sure if I can handle that again.
Any feedback would be much appreciated!
