What is the name of your state? California

I bought a Nixon watch online at ccs.com. The price was listed as $29.99. After putting my credit card information, I submitted the order and got a confirmation number. When I called to check on my order, I was told that there was a typo on the site and that the price should have been $199.99, and that If i still wanted the watch (It has not shipped yet) I would have to pay the full price.

My question is, can they do this? My bank card still lists the transaction as pending.

I appreciate your help.

At the time of writing this the site still has the watch listed as $29.99:

are you referring to the watch still advertised at $29.99 (model BKBK)? or one of the ones now marketed at $199.99 ( models BLAC or SILV)?

Do you have proof of the advertised price of $29.99?

Yes the BKBK one. Even now they still have not fixed the price online. I called customer service and they say that the actual price is $199.99. However I have a confirmation number and receipt for the $29.99 price.

well, to start with, I would take a screenshot of the current pricing (the one claimed to be the incorrect one) to preserve the evidence.

The attorney general in the state they are in would be the appropriate entity to make a complaint to. The fact you have not been injured makes it simply a case of false advertising with nothing to be gained by you.

any action to attempt to force them to sell you the watch at the advertised price would cost much more than the difference in the prices.
