What is the name of your state? California

I have purchased several different "publishing" software packages. The T&C's seem to indicate that I can only use what I create, for personal purposes only (cards, calendars etc for family/friends).

If I change a background, picture or put a group of objects together creating my own design....who's design does this become? I want to create cards and sell them, I need the "publishing" software to do this and paid good money for it. I'm confused.

Please advise
