What is the name of your state? Texas

I bought a car from a couple in Mansfield, Texas. I was told the only problems with the car was that the taillights were out of alignment, and the second sunroof wasn't working. I accepted their offer and bought the car. (I did test drive it around their neighborhood before buying it) After driving it for nearly a day, and thinking it drove a bit odd after going about 55 on the highway, we took it in to a dealership the next day. We came to find out that the transmission is now going out. I called the sellers and they refused to give me a refund or help me pay for the repairs. Please help.

First, you bought this car as-is and should have had it inpected before you purchased it. It's now your car and you will be responsible for the repairs.

That said, you should get a second opinion on the transmission problem. Some repair places cannot diagnose properly and/or just want to replace parts. It is important that you get an accurate diagnosis of what is wrong because the fix may not be as expensive as a whole new transmission.
