I am considering borrowing money to purchase a piece of property in Tenn. owned free and clear by someone who recently lost a civil case with an auto insurance company. A judgement for a large amount of money from her was awarded to the insurance co. If I purchase this property from her at this point, would this be illegal and could I loose my investment, property,or be involved in any court action?
