Hi all -
We are currently having a survey prepared on our land. We're doing this to address a possible encroachment situation with a neighbor, plus it's something we should have had done long before now. It's been mentioned that we can file the survey results with our county clerk's office. I understand that this would be recorded as public information, but does it serve any purpose as to our standing, or the validity of the survey? In other words - does a recorded survey carry more weight than one that has not been recorded?
We intend to have it filed regardless, so this is more just out of curiosity.
Thanks for your time!
