There is no set time. If the attorney is asking for a model QDRO, it shouldn't take more than a week or two. Maybe a bit longer, if the attorney's staff is really busy. But if you're talking about the negotiating about who gets what in the QDRO, it could take months or years.

Mine took 13 months and that was for a fairly simple divorce. Getting the financial information took most of that time.
