This takes place in Austin Texas. I made reservations on 4-3-01 to rent a corporate apartment for one month (4-14-01 to 5-14-01) to do some house hunting. They faxed me a registration and confirmation sheet and told me to fill out my auto make and license info, which I did and faxed back. The next day (4-5-01) my boss advised me not to buy a house. I called the place I had made the reservations at on the same day (4-5-01 one day after I made my original reservation) to cancel and they said I had to give 14 days notice to cancel 30 night stay reservations. It was written on the registration and confirmation sheet, but I made my reservations with less than 14 days and I never signed anything on the agreement. They already have my credit card info and said they will bill me for two weeks (at a total cost almost equal to the monthly rate). Do I have any rights, can I get out of this? If they are going to bill me for those two weeks I told them I was going to stay there. They specified which unit# I would be in, if I do have to pay and I do stay there, do they have to put me in the unit # they specified on the registration and confirmation sheet?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
