Hello forum, a while back I was given an open container violation for attempting to take a beer (covered with a paper bag mind you) on to the subway in NYC. Two undercover cops issued the violations and the fine was 25 dollars. I went back to school very soon after, and my issue is that I cannot remember whether I ever sent in the money to the state or not. I am a little worried that I did not, and was wondering if there is a way to find out if a fine is still unpaid/outstanding. My friend with me sent his in, but said that he got his check back, indicating the cops could have dismissed the violations. Still, I am not sure and want to know who I can contact without screwing myself over. Thanks everyone.
