What is the name of your state? Nebraska

My husband was the president of a business (under a corporation owned by someone else) and the vice president was the wife of the person we were buying the business from (purchasing stocks). The business has since gone out of business & we received a letter from the IRS stating that we owe back payroll taxes for 2003-2004. Is my husband the only one responsible (we are in a Chapter 13 bankruptcy) or can the IRS go after the vice president too?

The IRS can go after any officer or owner of the corporation. However, typically they go after the majority stockholders, the CEO (in this case the president) and anyone else who signed the checks.
