What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oklahoma
I had some music equipment stolen back in 1999. I found the pawn shop where he took one of the items. They turned over the tape and I identified the thief. He was arrested and there was still some items never recovered. I received one check for $50.00. I was doing some research and it looks like they have been holding his tax returns. Do I need to contact someone to see if I will see any more funds or am I pretty much cut out of the loop now.

Thanks,
Darrall

Was the guy convicted?

Did the judge order him to pay you back, possibly as a term of probation?

Did you sue him in small claims or civil court and receive a judgment?

Who has been holding his tax returns and how did you discover this?

Who else is in this loop?
