I have a question on my sister's case. She is going to court next week for a comtept hearing due to back child support she owes from when she was unemployed. Her husband meanwhile, has had his office call him several times saying that someone is trying to serve him. ( just so you know, he has another child support case himself that some woman is working with the AG on.) He husband is livid because he thinks it has to do with my sister. SO, my question is, can the courts demand my brother-in-law's income to decide my sister's case? Please let me know as soon as you can! Thanks!

No. His income has absolutely, NOTHING at all, what so ever, to do with HER child support arrears. More than likely, he is being served for another matter. The OAG can get any info on joint property and joint accounts directly from the banks and tax office, so they would have no reason to serve him if the only issue is child support arrears.
