i just thought of this Question; wonderin if u guys could help me?
If the g`ma has guardianship; doesn't paternity have to be established first before that can happen (although it already has happened- *the guardianship)
any answers would help b/c i read on something about paternity and the courts and wondered if this applies in my situation.

(if unaware of the situation involved please see previous thred "grandmother took my son ... ")

You as the mother can sign guardianship papers whether or not paternity is established or not. Did the father sign an acknowledgement of paternity at the hospital, if so paternity was established. A judge knows these these things.

yes, he signed the paper.
i have no idea how to go about this. I need to speak to someone who legally knows these things; its so gosh darn frustrating. im at such a loss here.

There was no reason to start another thread since you added this to your other thread, bit I had already answered this one. That confuses the issue by having too many threads.
If he signed the AOK then he is the legal father and can sign as he did the guardianship papers. What are you confused about. You can't contest on those grounds. If you had gone/stayed home to your mother who had responsibility for you since you were a minor then and went to court for child support after the child was born you wouldn't have this problem.
Please get an attorney and quit trying to generate energy here.

That really is what you need to do, hon. Personally what I'd do? Right now I'd take a second job and use that money for a lawyer to fight for the kid.
