What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania
I had an account with a creditor and the debt was charged off as bad debt. At that point a collection agency got involved. They contacted me and offered me a settlement. The total account balance was 2100 dollars and they offered me a settlement of 60 % of that amount after negotiations. I got the letter in writing and sent a cashiers check. On the letter they stated that the acocunt would be updated and reflect a "Settled in Full" status. This did not happen they updated the account and left the remaining balance on my credit report. The letter specifficaly states that "Our client has agreed to accept payment of x dollars as a settlement for releasing the above captioned name(s)" which in this case would be me.
Anything I can do here to get this resolved and off my credit??

Yes, dispute it with the credit bureaus, should be zero due as they accepted your settlement as payment in full. Just be aware, 'settled' is not a good mark on your reports either.
