Question Regarding Summer Visitation

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Order from Washington State, mother and child reside in California

Parenting plan paperwork states that our son is to spend 6 weeks during the summer with his father. I filed paperwork in March to revisit child support for the first time in 11 years, and since that time, our son's father has had no contact with our son except for one text message sent to a group to notify everyone of a new phone number. After the first reaction nasty phone call and a few horrendous text messages, I as well have not heard from his father.

Our son has made numerous phone calls and sent text messages to try and get into contact with his father. I have done the same since the beginning of May to try and work out summer plans, our court order states plans have to be made by May 31st to allow for the purchase of plane tickets. I have received no reply phone calls or text message replies either. I know our son's father is currently going through a divorce and has walked away from his other two children from a previous relationship. They are 18 and 17 and both currently live with their step mom who is divorcing their father.

What else am I required to do in order to facilitate visitation for our son and his father? I do not have a current address in order to send a letter and email is not being returned either.

Thanks in advance for any help you may have.

Nothing else. Dad will either contact about his summer visitation or he will not.

Yup. Nothing much you can do here. You don't even have to be as diligent as you have been. If dad wants to be an absentee dad and not exercise his visitation, then as sad as that is, it's on him and not you.
