A friend of mine was being sued for unpaid bills - a few days before court she wrote two checks and sent them to business sueing. The business deposited checks before the court date but also included the amounts in the judgement they received. The checks were returned NSF. Although these amounts were included in the judgement the business received the business is now threatening to take her to court for the bad checks. Does she have any recourse?
