What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Washington State

My boyfriend of 14 years became involved with Meth. While on it, he was arrested for driving a stolen car - PCP1. He was out on bail and made a very stupid choice to get in the car with another meth user and the other guy asked him to drive (it was another stolen car). They stopped so my guy could get coffee and the passenger got out of the car, walked around to the coffee window and robbed the barista at gun point. (my boyfriend was getting ready to pay for the coffee, had no idea that his friend was going to rob them!) He jumped in the car, pointed the gun at my boyfriend and told him to drive. So now he was just denied a bail reduction today (bail is set at $50,000) and the prosecuter said things that are untrue. He has a public defender who hasn't even hired a investigator yet, and has pretrial tomorrow. Can we fire the DAC attorney and ask for a new one? And if he gets shafted what kind of time are we looking at. His charges are 2 counts of PSP1, and 1 count of Robbery1. Prior to this last month, he has no criminal record at all. He also was scheduled to report to inpatient drug rehab tomorrow (he did that himself) but now, obviously can't attend. Any answers would be helpful. We are near Seattle.

Yes, you can fire him. I am not sure if the courts will apoint another one in his place just because you do not like his ways..........my guess is they won't!!! You would probably have to have valid proof that he isn't doing his job! Beggars can't be choosers! My advice to you is take up a collection and hire an attorney if you are not comfortable w/ the one you have!!

If you have any complaints about the attorney you have been given.........I would call the judge's office and speak to someone about your concerns........if they can not help you they will be able to point you in the right direction.

Also if taking up a collection is out of the question......you might want to check into any local law clinics and schools....often these places will assign students different cases to get experience at little or no charge! REMEMBER though they are students still in school..........they are fresh on the scene and eager to win!!

good luck to you and your man!!
