What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MN

I bought this item from Quibids, where it is advertised that everything on the site is brand new. Their frequently asked questions section says:

"Are Products Brand New?
All products on our site are brand name, brand new, and factory sealed! Additionally, all items come with the manufacturer's warranty."

I received the item and discovered that it was not, in fact, brand new as the box had obviously been opened before and was beaten up. I have not opened it because I do not want to be responsible for any damage within. I checked where they had obtained the item before selling it to me and discovered that it was from Warehouse Deals, Inc. The label I received with the package said that it was purchased through amazon. I looked up the item and found that the seller was only selling "Used - Very Good" units of the item. This confirmed my observation that the box had been opened and was used. I contacted amazon and they confirmed that Warehouse Deals only sells used, "like new," or refurbished products; never new. I have not heard back from Quibids about the complaint I made to them.

Please call or email us

Hi reer0801. I came across your post and am very sorry to hear that. I work for QuiBids and I can assure you we do buy brand new and factory sealed products for every item(s) we purchase. We have very good relationships with our vendors. However, it has happened where a faulty product has been shipped from a vendor. Sometimes there's just no way to tell with the number of items that are shipped on a daily basis. The kind of business we're in - there will be a snag here and there and we'll always resolve those situations when they arise. It's not that often, but has happened. I have you say that in this case, you were one of the unlucky ones. I sincerely apologize for that. By all means, please contact us and we'll work with you to resolve the problem. Feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. Thank you!

Warehouse deals is owned by Amazon. If something cannot be sold as new, then Amazon sells it under theior Warehouse deals name. These are customer returns, open boxed items, cosmetically damaged items (i.e. a book with a creased cover, a tv with a scratch etc).

If someone purchased an item from warehouse deals then theres no confusion about it supposing to be new. If its new, then its just sold by Amazon itself.

Quibids is a scam

Quibids is a total scam.

I am determined to not let this scam website run over me and cheat other consumers and you should not either!!!!!!!

Quibids only get concerned when it sense the danger of a possible lawsuit (which I hope is going to come soon). The website is found in October 2009 but there are numerous complaints and questions about Quibids suspicious business practice.

Quibids is so shady! I am so determined to not let it get away. I referred the website to my friend the same day I started to use it. Okay, we are not morons. We did the math, observed some auctions, and participated in few small auctions. But what I find shocking is that Quibids' make its shady business practice so shady. I wonder how greedy a business has to become before it brings its own downfall. I think charging .60s cents per bid on .1 bidding increments is substantial. -_____- (I just don't understand why it is necessarily to maximize their profit by using shady tactics. At the end, all they get is multiple complains from customer for this relatively new site)

Here is what my friend and I had experienced after an entire day's of experience on Quibids.com. My friends and I used three different computers trying to bid for different electronic items. At the last second (I mean the last second) when my friend and I were about to reach the target sale price, the website froze!! The the next thing we knew was some random last minute bidder had came in and won the bid. The exact same thing happened three times in a row!!

I can ensure you that I wasn't experiencing a technical problem because my friends and I bid for numerous smaller items. Guess what? The website never froze!! I mean never!!

Maybe three times isn't enough to assume the website is a scam. But the fact of matter is there are numerous similar complains about this new website's shady business practice. This should really tell you something. Don't let Quibids play with you like that!! Quibids are definitely very clever at making money...but cheating consumers is a totally different story!!
