What is the name of your state? GA

Of course everyone should know that we are trying to get custody of my husbands children. I heard that we must file in the state where the children live. We have filled out papers for Fl and the kids now live in Ga and have for the last 2+ years. Would it help if we filed in both FL and GA, because the orginal order is in Fl anyone with advice please help

You can't file in both. It would seem FL should hold jurisdiction if Dad still lives there.

We had to file in the state and COUNTY that the child lives in. I am postive this is true anywhere.
