Approximately 13 years ago, my boyfriend allowed me to put a new manufactured home on his property. The property also
had his business located on it. We lived together in this
home until 8 years ago when he passed away. Two years ago the property was sold and the new owners were going to purchase the home along with the business but failed to do so. The business which was located on the property burned to the ground approximately one month ago. Now I believe the property will be sold once again and I would like to know if the new owners can force me off the property. I was told that since the home was not put on the land without permission and is "nortorious" - over five years....that I can sue for title under something called "quiet claim" and something about "perscription - open"...could you please give me more information on this.

One more thing...the property used to be 2 parcels..consisting of 4 lots but we merged the property when we put the home on it. I have checked with the city and it can be seperated.

Thank you.

I believe you are confusing quiet title action with quit claim deed with adverse possession.

Your issues are not simple so you need to hire an attorney in that State.
