I am recently divorced and was informed that one of the papers I signed during the divorce proceedings was a quit claim deed on my ex's house. Is there any way to revoke a quit claim deed? [email protected]
Quitclaim deeds are often signed in connection with divorces and property settlements. Are you sure you never agreed to it? Was the house worth a lot of money above the mortgage?
If so, you can go to court and claim fraud or mistake. Tell your lawyer it was amistake and otherwise she'd be responsible for malpractice if she was supervising the closing and you had not agreed to it.
