When I was 19 I made the mistake of buying a house with a friend. To make a long story short she is now married and I have moved out. I signed a Quit Claim deed at the time with the understanding that she would have the house refinanced in her husbands name. It has been almost a year now and it still has NOT been done. Even though I have signed a Quit Claim, is there any way I could still take her to court and make her either hurry up and refinance this house so I can get my name off it, or make her sell it?

Sure, you can tell her that if she doesn't file you'd move to take over your one half. But that's not the big issue. Is there a mortgage that you signed? Getting your name off that is a separate matter and a quit claim deed does not do it.
