My ex-husband had abused me so bad two years ago for 7 years that I got scared of him and ran out of State with our child that at the time I had custody of. Now I am in trouble for taking my Son out of the State and he has our Son and I am left with nothing and he has everything and I am being told by a few people that I can't do anything about it and I would like to know if I could still do something about it after two years. I ran from the State of Florida were I am Know. I let him get away with abuse and never told on him cause he threatened me so badly that I was scared of him now I am up on a felony charge and I was the victim not him. Help please.

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

Okay, basically, instead of LISTENING TO everyone say stuff to you of whether you are in trouble or not, call a lawyer!

This attorney MUST be experienced in spousal abuse cases and must have a good track record of winning such cases. To find such an attorney, contact your state bar association and ask them to refer you.

YOU CANNOT DO THIS ON YOUR OWN. The only way to have the charges dropped and possibly get your son back, is to have a lawyer paint the picture to the jury or judge.
