If a person gets rape but does nothing about it, can a charges be filed against the offender after 2yrs? At the time this person was 18yrs old by a 20yr old male which attends the same school as she, but she didnt do anything about the crime. What can she really do?

My response:

Not much at this point, unless there was a "rape kit" performed at a hospital. The evidence of rape is long gone, and it would be difficult, at best, impossible at worst, to maintain a prosecution at this point in time.
