should i contact doctor or file suit?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nevada:
I was involved in a motor vehicle accident back in September and injured my back and shoulder. My treating doctor sent me to a physical therapist that put me on heat and electrical stimulation. On 3 seperate visits i was severly jolted with electricity from the pads connected to my back. The first time the secretary hooked up the pads and asked me to tell her when i felt anything. When i finally felt it i was severly jolted causing me to arch my back. My friend that was with me in therapy also witnessed this. She thought i was joking and turned it back on and did this again. When she noticed my pain she said she was sorry. When i came back the next time the male therapist informed me that there was a short in the cable. This happened again about 3 visits later and he informed me that the short was inside the divice. After the 3rd time i refused to go back. The problem is that i hurt my back in 1990 and had a back fusion. I was using a tens machine to electricaly stimulate my back, but now am afraid to use it after being shocked. Can i sue this office? Now they are charging the insurance over 3300 dollars that will come out of my settlement. And i now am unable to use my tens machine for my own treatment.
No. You were not damaged. Can you sue this office?
If the charges are for the contracted amount, they will be paid out of your settlement and your settlement will be based on the total dollar amount of your medical expenses. They are charging the insurance over $3300 that will come out of my settlement.
Oh, Pete's sake; get over it. You've ridden in a motor vehicle since the accident, haven't you?And i now am unable to use my tens machine for my own treatment.
