I reside in new york, but the company I was contracted by to do recruiting/consulting work resides in stamford, ct. The company paid on two of my invoices, which includes hourly charges that they state that they are now not willing to pay. I sent two notices of request for payment/reimbursent and received a letter from the president that they will pay the invoices minus the hourly charges. I am really fed up and knew that they were taking advantage of me. So I agreed to termination of contract. If they paid on the first two invoices which included the hourly charges, are they obligated to pay the balance on the remainder of the invoices.

And what exactly does your employment contract say regarding disputes in invoices or pay???

And a partial payment of an invoice is not an automatic acceptance of the full invoice, unless noted as such.
