What is the name of your state? New Jersey

MY RECORD CONTAINS - 1 FELONY AND 3 MISDEMEANORS FROM 1995

In 2015 I applied for an expungement but was denied as the law at the time only allowed 2 misdemeanors which I had 3... Thus, I was DENIED!

NJ recently passed a law that allows an expungement for those having 1 felony and 3 misdemeanors. (NJS3307 Bill - PASSED) OCT 1,2018

This is GREAT NEWS.... - I now qualify

QUESTION: Do I file a new expungement petition or a motion to reopen the petition that was denied. Or do I file an appeal due to the law changed that now qualifies me?

Thanks for your help
