the wisconson law,states a 6 month waiting period before you can remarry after a divorce. What if I was to get married in another state, would I still be violating the divorce decree

Here a thought.. why not just wait?

Don't know the wording of WI's statement, but NE law states that neither party can marry anyone, ANYWHERE . . .

And I agree with LB's thought; why not just wait. You can still be married in time to file a joint tax return.
