What is the name of your state? south carolina

we filed ch7. we wanted to reaffirm a new loan we had gotten for a vehicle. we contacted the creditor and they said that since the loan is still too new they can not reaffirm it. if we continue to make payments and keep current with this loan we can keep the vehicle and they will report it under good staniding on our credit. we are current with this loan and they said they can not take this vehicle unless we fall behind on payments.they said they can not repo it unless it is past due. is this something to be worried about. we are worried we will be paying for a vehicle and then one day wake up and they took it back. if you are current on a debt (loan) can they still repo it or can we keep it. thanks for all your help.
