I am selling my home and have entered into an agreed upon contract for a price, timeframe for inspections,... The standard things in a purchase and sale. We entered into and agreed to this back on 6/1 or there about. It was stated in this contract that all inspections would be completed by 6/8. We pushed and asked why inspections where not done on 6/5 and finally the inspections were done on 6/8. To our knowledge there were no issues, because we were there. almost 3 weeks have gone by, and a subsequent inspection was done today 6/22 that found an issue with the heating system. Can we say that they breached the contract and force them to buy the house because they did not follow the terms (ie 6/8 inspections) ??
What other alternatives do I have legally based on the contract ?
