I'm a resident in North Carolina but I own property in Texas. I can't get on Medicaid because I have property in Texas. Is there any way I can give the property away to Social Services in my state or to the state of Texas, so that I can get on medicaid?

Thanks

A donation would have some tax implications.

Habitat for Humanity should be very familiar with this sort of thing and would probably be a good first contact.

Would Social Services even accept the property? They may not have property management personel to take care of individual scattered site properties.

How long have you had it on the market?
