I'm not sure how to get the process started, but you want a paternity hearing. Then you'd tell the judge you are demanding a DNA test. The changing of the birth certificate & the name, will not happen until you prove to the court that you are the father. If the child is of school age, the court may not allow the name to be changed. Be prepared to be hit with back child support unless you can prove that you never knew about the child's birth.

Good luck.
