My friend (who was the driver) and I were sitting at a stoplight. All of the sudden someone hit us from behind - 3 times. She told the police that she thought she was pressing her brake, but she was really pressing her gas. My friend and I both went to the hospital to be checked out. I had lower back paid and neck pain (still do)I had to miss 1 1/2 days of work. I can't lift my 18 month old son either. The doctor says in 2 weeks I should feel better. The other woman's insurance has already called me to settle. He says to let him know when I am ready. I know that I should wait until I feel better to settle, but how do I know how much I am entitiled to? We live in Illinois by the way.
