My 3 month old son and I were involved in a rear-end collision recently which wasnt my fault. The only compensation I can get from my insurance company is for my car.

I am renting a car right now which my insurance doesnt cover. There were items in the car that I will have to replace like 2 infant car seats and 2 strollers which were not cheap.
My husband and I had to take time off from work for 2 days.
We had to visit the pediatrician to have my son check out.
We have to pay a $500 deductible.

I would like for the driver at fault to pay for all these things. Should I seek legal action? is it worth it? Is there anything I can do to get compensation from the driver at fault?
