Hello everyone- thanks in advance for your time and attention.

I received a judgment ~ 6 months ago for ~$7000 since my landlord failed to return my security deposit + treble damages. On the judgment, there was a date noted for a hearing "on the defendant's ability to pay" which I missed (long story but basically I got bad advice from my lawyer). I went to the court myself and told them he has not paid me and I was told to file a motion regarding a writ of execution. I now have an upcoming motion hearing regarding this and am not sure exactly what I need to do to prepare.

My questions...
1.) At any point so far, was I supposed to serve my landlord? If I was supposed to, how do I fix this?
2.) What should I expect at this hearing?
3.) Anything I should do to prepare? What should I bring with me?
