I believe something along this line has been discussed before, but I have more specific situation.

Some time ago I purchased DVDs from a website that I now know to be bootlegged. At the time I was under the impression that I was buying from a legitimate website, but I now know that not to be the case. The site has since been closed down (no doubt for copyright violations), and I was wondering what kind of exposure that site's customers could be facing.

Is "good faith" a valid argument for buyers of bootlegged material?
