What is the name of your state?
I live in CA. I received two ipods by mistake from a company. I was then sent an E-mail from them telling me I have to return one by law. What is the legal recourse for not sending it back? Isn't it legally mine?

It isn't yours to keep. Just because company made a mistake, it doesn't give you a right to keep it.

What if you ordered two and only received one? Would it by a gain by them because to the mistake and you lose? Think about it, it's not that hard to figure out. If you want the other offer to pay for it.

The legal recourse for not sending it back is to bill you for it. They will assume that you want the 2nd ipod when you don't send it back. No, the item is not legally yours!!! Do the right thing and send the extra ipod back.

Is this country really so corrupt in morals that people ask if they can find a way to keep something that isn't theirs? Asking to justify theft as, "They made a mistake"?

If you left your house unlocked and the door wasn't shut all the way, is it any less of a crime on my part that YOU made it so easy to commit a crime through your error?

If I ordered one iPod from you and you accidentally sent me two, would you like me to keep both of them or return the other?

Sheesh, I'm 24 and as scared by the lack of people caring about laws and rights and morals.

SEND IT BACK, THIEF!

Jesus Christ. The moral police are out today. Tell them you have no idea what they are talking about, you only received one. IF they want to press the issue, dispute every bill they will send you for it, they will eventually send it to a collection agency, dispute it right away, and be sure to tell the collection agency that if this invalid charge shows up on your credit report, you will sue them for violating the FCRA. These other guys are legally right, but whos to prove you recieved 2? Did they ship seperate? Did you sign for either (or both)? Did you acknowledge receipt of 2? BE smarter than them.
