It is extremely annoying (to say the least) that one cannot scroll back to thread content while composing a reply, as we were previously able to. Yes, I can open another window and reread that way - if I'm on my laptop. If I'm on my phone, though... it's too much of a hassle, to be honest. Some posts are so convoluted that they require a re-read while replying. If it's a pain to do so, many posters will simply move on to other sites. Including, I suspect, quite number of seniors.

ETA: It is also no longer to reply without quoting - which makes some threads cumbersome to read, especially on a phone. Additionally, it is no longer possible to reply selectively w/quoting certain portions of a post (*) - very often, there is a point one would like to address that is buried.

The site is becoming more cumbersome to use than less. Too bad.

(*) I see you've simply changed the method. Rather than simply highlighting the portion you with to address and selecting reply, one must now copy/paste and apply the quote feature from the option bar. More cumbersome, IMO.

I highlighted your comment and the Reply button came up. I clicked reply and, as you can see, your comment has been quoted.

Not sure where your difficulty is coming from.

Weird. I just tried it again, and I get no Reply button. So this must be a "me" problem. Maybe a reboot is in order...

Nope. A Chrome issue, perhaps? I'm running Version 132.0.6834.206 (Official Build) (64-bit), if that makes a difference.

I'm on Chrome and I don't have to quote to reply. And while I haven't tried on a multi-page thread, I can still scroll up while responding.

Edge for me too. And I can still scroll up. With multi-pages I just open the previous page and can view it side by side with the current page.
